The Prime Ministers of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia - Pham Minh Chinh, Sonexay Siphandone, and Hun Manet respectively - convened to discuss the future of their economic cooperation.

The 78th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and solemnity in Laos. The Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, took the lead in organizing the commemorative event on the evening of September 1st.

President Vo Van Thuong welcomed Comrade Viengthong Siphandon, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court of Laos and Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, at a meeting on the afternoon of August 22, 2023, while he was in Vietnam on a business trip.

The "Vietnamese families with Lao and Cambodian students studying in Ho Chi Minh City" program brought together Vietnamese families who have adopted students from Laos and Cambodia, as well as representatives from Lao and Cambodian families with children participating in the program, for an afternoon meeting and exchange program on August 16, 2023. Ho Chi Minh City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee is in charge of coordinating this event, which aims to strengthen ties of friendship and solidarity among the Vietnamese, Laotian, and Cambodian people.

On August 1, a meeting was held between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Nam province and the Lao Front Committee for National Construction of Se Kong province in Tam Ky city. The purpose of the talks was to strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the two provinces.
