Vietnam, Laos cement special relationship
PANO - General Chansamon Chanyalath, Politburo member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Lao Defense Minister, on January 19 received a delegation of former Vietnamese military experts and volunteer soldiers who did their international service in Laos, led by Major General Huynh Dac Huong, former political commissar of the Command of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and military experts in Laos.

Foreign Ministers of Vietnam, China hold talks in Laos
Vientiane – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh held talks with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on December 16 on the occasion of the fourth Mekong – Lancang Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Luang Prabang, northern Laos.

Asia-Pacific lost millions of jobs because of the US-China trade war
Changes in production, resources redistributed across sectors and countries in the Asia-Pacific region due to trade tensions will result in tens of millions people to lose their jobs losses have to find new jobs. Lessening trade tensions between the two largest economies - the United States and China - could partly help to cushion this situation.
