On the afternoon of November 23, the closing ceremony for the event was held at the Lao International Trade Exhibition and Convention Center (Lao Itecc) in the capital city of Vientiane. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Major General Khamven Labuamahaxay, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Lao Ministry of National Defense; Colonel Phan Duong Minh, Deputy Chief of Staff of the General Department of Defense Industry; Mr. Chattouphonh Nakhavith, Deputy Director General of the Foreign Trade Department under the Lao Ministry of Industry and Commerce; along with representatives from various agencies, units, and enterprises from both nations.

Reporting on the outcomes of the fair, Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Nguyen, Director of the Military Exhibition and Trade Promotion Center under the General Department of Defense Industry, noted that the fair is part of the National Program on Trade Promotion. Held from November 20 to 23 under the direction of the Ministries of Defense and the Ministries of Industry and Commerce of both Vietnam and Laos, the event coincided with preparations for the 50th Anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. With its rich and diverse content, the fair generated positive effects and attracted significant participation from agencies, businesses, and the general public.

This year's fair featured 144 booths representing various sectors, including food and beverages, textiles, mechanical products, finance and banking, telecommunications, technology, and logistics. Notably, 26 military enterprises participated with a total of 50 booths. A highlight of the event was a dedicated exhibition area showcasing images of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. This section also highlighted the Vietnam People’s Army’s role in economic development combined with national defense, as well as dual-use industrial products and a space dedicated to introducing Vietnamese culture.

Within the framework of the event, the organizing committee facilitated 20 direct and online trade connection sessions. As a result, the Bac Ninh Provincial Industrial Production Association signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Vietnamese Business Association in Laos, while Robot Investment Joint Stock Company signed a product distribution contract with a Lao enterprise valued at 500 million VND. Furthermore, a seminar titled “Investment and Trade Cooperation between Vietnamese and Lao Enterprises” was co-hosted by the Finance Department of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Economic Department of the Lao Ministry of National Defense, drawing participation from over 50 units and businesses.

Throughout the four-day event, the organizers and participating businesses distributed more than 2,000 gifts to visitors. At the closing ceremony, 20 collectives and 10 individuals were honored with Certificates of Merit from the Minister of National Defense of Vietnam for their outstanding achievements in organizing and participating in this successful trade promotion event.
