Outstanding Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings Congress successfully concluded

The 67 most outstanding younths were honoured at a ceremony.

NDO – The sixth Distinguished and Outstanding Youth Following Uncle Ho’s Teachings Congress was successfully held in the two central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh from May 30-31. |

Organised by the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union Central Committee, the congress was attended by 401 youths who have attained excellent achievements in study and work. They come from 63 provinces and cities around the country. On this occasion, the 67 most outstanding youths were honoured at a ceremony for their study and pursuance of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style during the 2018-2020 period. Speaking at the ceremony, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai affirmed that by studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings, the Vietnamese youth equip themselves with revolutionary virtues, a firm political stand and a vanguard and voluntary spirit in the causes of national construction and defence. She called on youth union members to take practical actions and work out initiatives to facilitate the socio-economic development of the country. The congress was also held to promote patriotic emulation movements in the youth; as well as celebrate Party Congresses at all levels, in the run up to the 13th National Party Congress. On May 31, Politburo member Truong Thi Mai and representatives of some ministries, departments and central agencies visited the new-styled rural commune of Tuong Son in Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province and presented gifts to a number of disadvantaged families and students who have overcome their difficulties to achieve high academic results.
