Over 1,000 artists attended Vietnam - Laos cultural exchange
The culture, sports and tourism festival between ethnic minority groups in Vietnam - Laos border areas were held on May 17-19 under the theme “Solidarity, friendship, and development”
The festival took place from May 17-19, 2019 in A Luoi district, Thua Thien-Hue province, with the participation of 1,000 artisans, artists, actors and athletes from the ethnic minorities in 5 provinces (Kon Tum, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue) and 4 delegations from Laos.
The festival is a cultural and political activity to introduce and promote the potentials and strengths of developing culture, sports, tourism and cultural heritage of ethnic groups, contributing to preserving, promoting and honoring the cultural identity.
The event were carefully prepared, with unique content, suitable form, serving the need of cultural entertainment of two nations’ people.
A wide rage of cultural activities were held during the event such as exhibitions promoting local cultural and tourism products, public art performances, ethnic costume shows, and brocade weaving.
In addition, there were tourism activities such as community tourism in A Luoi district A Luoi, introducing the culinary arts of ethnic groups in Thua Thien-Hue province.
