Tuesday, April 9, 2023 - In a lively celebration of regional unity and cultural legacy, the Cultural Exchange Festival with the theme "Colors of Indochina" took place this morning to commemorate the traditional New Year celebrations of Bunpimay in Laos and Chol Chnam Thmay in Cambodia. The Kon Tum campus of the University of Da Nang, in collaboration with the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Friendship Association and the Department of Foreign Affairs in Kon Tum Provincial, organized the event, which drew participants from Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Ha Thi Nga, the chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union, led a delegation that visited Pany Yathotou, the vice president of Laos, in Vientiane on April 4, 2023. This visit was a major step toward deepening the special relationship between the two countries. The women's unions of the two countries will be working together more closely during this visit, which is part of their official mission to Laos.

On March 15, 2023, in Da Nang, the 13th Vietnam - Laos Security Cooperation Conference was co-chaired by Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang (Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security of Vietnam) and Senior Lieutenant General Kongthong Phongvichit (Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security of Laos).
